Sunniva focusing cultivation and extraction facilities in California

A recent communication with Sunniva (CSE: CNN) (USOTC: SNNVF) indicates their focus is to leverage the large scale purpose built Sunniva cultivation and extraction facilities in California. This means they will now aggressively pursue upstream verticals such as distribution and retail expansion. This will be combined with a Sunniva house of brands in all major product categories including flower, pre-rolls, vape cartridges and beverages.

We see SNN utilizing the Canopy Growth (TSX: WEED) (NYSE: CGC) business model in California. In Canada, WEED began by building their portfolio of cultivation assets and moved from there to concentrate on branding, distribution and retail. We think this plan lends credibility to the idea that SNN has started on the path to becoming the Canopy Growth of California.
