Positive developments for Khiron (TSXV: KHRN) in Latin America

A couple of international political developments augur positively for Khiron Life Sciences (TSXV: KHRN) (OTCQB: KHRNF).

First is a brief report out of Colombia that the government is ready to introduce legislation legalizing adult-use marijuana. Although I don’t think KHRN has near term plans to enter the recreational field, it will expand its potential in the future. Perhaps more important, Mexico also seems to be moving forward. A series of country-wide public meetings were held in August and the results were “…overwhelmingly in favour of legalization.” Legislation is possible before the end of the year and passage in the first half of 2020 seems possible. Khiron, with the help of director and former President of Mexico, Vicente Fox has been actively preparing for legalization in Mexico that is the second largest economy in Latin America. I have no doubt that when Mexico is ready, KHRN will also be ready.

KHRN stock has been establishing a base in the $1.40 - $1.50 per share level. I think KHRN is a wonderful international cannabis opportunity at current levels.
