Portal Finance and BTG Pactual boost small business in Colombia

This headline caught our eye recently - Latin American small businesses just got a big boost with a new commitment for a $200 million lending joint venture between the Bogota-based startup Portal Finance and Latin America’s largest financial services institution, BTG Pactual. What we find so interesting is that a little over six months ago when I first came across Khiron Life Sciences (TSXV: KHRN), very few people were interested in Colombia and Latin America. Today, Licensed Producers Canopy Growth (through Spectrum Cannabis) and Aphria (through Colcanna) have invested in the region and several other Canadian based companies are doing the same. We think KHRN represents the best value in the area and now is the time to take advantage of it.
