Global cannabis market estimated at $500 Billion per year
Analysts at the U.S. brokerage firm of Piper Jaffray estimate a legal global cannabis market could be $250 to $500 billion a year.
They see the industry benefitting from transitioning illegal recreational sales, medical sales and growth in the health and wellness sectors. That would put cannabis on a par with global semi-conductor sales in 2018. The largest semi-conductor manufacturers include such well-known names as Intel, Samsung, Micron, Qualcomm and Texas Instruments.
Three or four decades from now, cannabis will have its equivalent of these names. If that is true, now is the time to own them.
